It was everyone’s dream as a kid to be a King or Queen and to rule a country one day. Well this dream came true, well, almost, for a guy in India.
Suyash Dixit discovered an unclaimed piece of land between Egypt and Soudan, and decided to take ownership – he’s called it Dixit, obviously after himself! The land is actually known as Bir Tawil, but hey, Kingdom of Dixit does sound fancier!
The land is 2000 squared kilometers long, and has no inhabitants, so it was straight-forward to claim. He even planted seeds and a flag like the explorers did back in the day! He told his friends in a Facebook post, “Following the early civilization ethics and rule, if you want to claim a land then you need to grow crops on it. I have added a seed and poured some water on it today. It is mine”.
He has also announced the official animal as being the lizard, as it’s the only one he saw during his short time in the military zone.
Do you think this is a good idea? Would you love to go on an adventure and discover an unclaimed land? Let us know what you think the comments!
